I took this photo on July 4, 2011. I go to Florida every summer with my family, and it has always been my favorite part of the year. Every summer, we meet up with some very great friends who live in Florida. That particular summer, they had a big surprise for us. Instead of watching the fourth of July fireworks from the beach like we usually did, they decided to take us out on their boat. We were able to watch the fireworks on the bay, and saw this amazing scene. As the sun slowly fell behind the trees, and the sky filled with vivid, amazing colors, we prepared to watch the fireworks display. As darkness fell around our boat, fireworks flashed and popped in the sky as they were set off from the neighboring towns that surrounded the bay. It was an amazing experience that I'll never forget, and every time I look at this picture I smile.
